I still read the blog!

Hey, I still read this thing about once a week. The switch to the new blogger gave my computer, maybe it was me, some problems but it appears that they have been taken care of. Kristen, my dad told me that Amanda Gerhard will be coming to VT in the future although he did not know that it was Chris' daughter. Please tell them if they ever need anything I will do anything that I can for them. Just have them call or email. I like our soccer coach and I hope that Amanda will enjoy it here. We can never have enough people from the borough.

My team in the tournament got beat in the second round. At this point I do not care who wins as I dislike all four of them. Sorry Jeff. I loved Donovan as a player but not as a coach and I just can not find it in me to like Noah.

Is Andrea still reading this? I am heading to Arizona in June for a conference and want to know all the good places to see in Phoenix.

you need to get out a tape measure and check the foul line distance at the practice court - what was up with the Hokie's foul shooting?

good to hear from you.

Colin, Amanda is my neice and I will pass on the offer to my sister. I know Amanda has a full scholarship for soccer and she does very well in school and is a all-around good kid. I told my sister you were at VaTech, if you have any advise I'm sure it would be appreciated. Thanks.
Do you have any plans to come home in the near future? I missed the last time.

Kristen and Lew,

You can have any of the Gerhard's contact me. Steve had the office's website linked here but that was a long time ago. My phone is (540)231-2243 or they can email me at chowlett@vt.edu. Is Amanda going to be a senior in high school next year? Just want to make sure I understand the situation. Right now they should just go with what Coach Cagle is telling them, I think she is pretty sharp. If they ever need anything or have any questions they can call me at any time.

Lew, we are planning to come back home in May. I will put something on the blog when I know the dates.

Matt, the Hokies could not score from anywhere, foul line included, for the last couple of weeks. They were a some what limited team offensively. When they could run they were exciting, early in the season. When teams slowed us down we were in trouble. They could have used me in the post.

Colin,

Good to see you alive & kicking (even if you aren't pullig for my team to repeat). If I could find a picture of you at the foul line from a post Matt did last year...it would be right here! No Doubt who the Free Throw Coach is at VT - I was wondering what you did in the off-season.

What is up with the no love for Noah from everyone? see lik: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2815441&sportCat=ncb). I think he is just mis-understood. As far as this year goes I thought Horford was the most improved and Noah is essentially the same as he's always been. I can't say Donovan runs the scores up like Spurrier, but who couldn't coach that Team to the Final 4??

Have you heard from Mullen at all?? I'm wondering what he's up to?

Jeff

P.S. -They could use a remedial Free throw shooting practice -what'w your availability for the rest of the week?

Kristen - What is the occassion? Are you rooting for WVA or know someone on one of the teams? Enjoy the game and MSG.

Jeff,

I always kind of liked Spurier. you never knew what he would say at the next press conference. When he would flat out ridicule Tennessee and Fulmer I became a fan for life.

I know as much about Mullen as you guys. Matt should be the one on here with some knowledge about Todd. Hopefully he reemerges in the future along with some other people.

Kristen, please do not pull for WVU, enjoy the city.

the varsity c club runs a trip every year...Eric Snyder (advisor) has a son Jakes age, that goes every year and a few other of his friends and parents...i just went for the food and the shopping and to experience the city again, since its been a long time...all the boys got jerseys at the NBA store and we ate a Juniors Famous Cheesecakes (awesome!) played games at ESPN Zone, (that thing is huge, 4 stories)...the game was a bore, thought it would be closer, but the boys went down to floor seating and the clemson mascot gave them all t-shirts...they eventually had to move because people finally came to their seats, but they had a really great time

Kristen,

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I always liked visiting NYC, just wouldn't want to live there. It's great to see the kids getting exposure to the City experience...good planning by the Varsity C club.
