Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!!!
Sorry we are just a little late on the New Year greetings. We (Mary and Kim) are here, up at Elk, SNOWED IN!! Our kids got out of school early so we all decided to get out of work early too! Took us a while to get up here- driving was pretty bad and soon to get worse. 16" inches expected by tomorrow afternoon.
So- who are the skiers out there? What is everyone doing? Hating or loving the snow in March?

Mare, I'm so jealous...of the partying and the snow. Looks like you are having a very good time. Have an extra one for me. I can only live vicariously through your pictures as I sit here playing online poker.

Dude- We (Kim and Mare) call your $5 and raise you a Corona.....

Mary -I'm stuck inside watching March Madness....doesn't get too much better than that since I'm now a skier. Sounds like you wanted to get snowed in...you must be a skier! I can only imagine how long it took you to get there. We got out about 2:30 and It took me an hour and a half to get home (all of an 18 mile commute).

Enjoy the Snow (& Corona)....maybe you can freeze one and make a Corona pop out of it. If you leave it outside now it should be ready by breakfast!

i assumed the New Year's pic was an older one...was I wrong? or are the guys the slow ones? Anyway, I hate the snow & the cold so needless to say I am indoors dreading the thought of having to go anywhere. The only bad thing about that is, all we do is cook & eat

Hello ladies (no show golfers)
I got out skiing one time so far this year and hope to go again with the additional snow we got.

Happy St. Patty's Day to all you Irish folks out there.

Mare & Kim - where has the third stooge been? (Judy) She hasn't been on the blog in some time. Have any of you heard from her?

I assumed the pic was from last night at a 'pseudo New Years's Eve' party because of the snow. And maybe that's not even a bar but at someone's house. Looks like I was wrong to assume.

Hey guys, great to be back in the blogging mode again. Kristen, you are right as usual. The pic was from New Year's. We just figured we were so far out of the loop on the blog, we might as well post a picture. (Kids pic was from last night though.) We did ski today (sorry Michelle). Awesome conditions. Settling in for a few Coronas soon.....and a little basketball.

Randy - we were wondering where Jude is as well. Talk to us girlfriend!

Rock - no good hangover pix...no evidence. :)

Dave - reminded me of the Friday night before the reunion with that poker conversation.

What else to do on a snowy March day?

glad you girls are having fun....I am not a big fan of snow and I hate being unable to get out and after about 36 hours I go a little nutty. The girl in the middle of the top picture looks exactly like my cousin Jamie Scheetz' daughter...its a bit freaky really.

A little nutty after 36 hours?.....Hmmmmmmm that explains a lot MJ. Seems to me that you didn't get out much!

Randy- where are you training these days? I thought I saw you running in Lower Macungie the other day......a bit far from home though. Could it have been you?

randyg said...

MJ -Lately on my sofa. Just kidding. I don't live far from Lower Macungie. I often ride bike down through that area and out to Kutztown. Sorry it was not me though. A group of us have been running in Trexler Park, the Parkway, and the Ironton Rail to Trail path.

Down here in MD we only got rain with a little sleet.... do feel sorry for those of you stuck at home, but not for Kim & Mare.

I think it is so great that you two still hang out together. Too bad no one else from our class lives near me. Oh well, enough of my pity party.

Kim and Mare, it is a very tough life to be snowed in at a ski resort. Such a bummer. I love the snow, but after having temperatures in the 70's last week, I am ready for spring!

sounds to me that being snowed in has its advantages.....ie..corona!! unfortunately we've had 100 degree records here, um..and yes coronas also!! good to see you girls still know how to have fun!! enjoy!
