Add your post-reunion comments here!

It would be great to hear how people felt about the reunion weekend. Those who were not there (by choice or circumstances) missed a really good time. There is no doubt the blog beforehand helped make people comfortable. But what I experienced was a group of 'matured' individuals, open-minded and unified, with everyone having no problems hanging out with each other. I had no problems talking with people that I really wasn't good friends with in high school. I think we all realized what a unique situation we had in Catty...small classes, one elementary, middle and high school, and spending 12 years of lives together. Awesome weekend and I hope we continue to stay in touch through the blog...and future reunions!

I had a great time last night as well. It was great to see everyone after all these years. Definatly have to keep these things going in the future. The blog really helped bring it to life. THANKS GUYS!!!! I was a little aprehensive about going but thought why not and I am glad I did. Your right Dave everyone is so past HS that none of that matters anymore. I think we all did have a great experiance going to a small school my kids won't have that same thing and it is a bit sad sometimes. (Their class size is like 900) Thanks for the photo's as well.

I've been experiencing the reunion weekend via the pictures and I was with you all in spirit! But, did I go to a different high school? There were so many faces in those pictures I didn't recognise! Spouses, maybe?
Anyway, I'm a full-on addicted blogger now, thanks to you guys, so even if no one else keeps up with it, I'll still be blogging here from time to time. But I hope some of you will too.
Thanks to Matt, Dave, LongE, Mullen (where the hell is he?!?!) for sharing their brainchild with the rest of us. See you at the 25th. :-)

vicki, who didnt you recognize? the only person i didnt know when we first got there was jeff perdick...everyone else pretty much looks the same, in my opinion anyway....and yes, mullen if you are reading this, you were missed, please come back!

I think I was probably looking at people's spouses and thinking I should know them. Or, it could be my age...

don't feel bad Vicki I had to ask who a few people were.....maybe when Pauko gets time he can attach some names to some photos.

I thought it was an awesome weekend. I agree with Dave that everyone just meshed together and it didn't really feel like 20 year since we saw some of the people. I had so much fun talking to everyone that I was a little sad when the evening ended. It was such a great time and I can hardly wait until the 25th! Thanks to all that were involved with planning the various events. Kudos to you!

I think I recognized most people, but the one I had a little trouble at first was Laurie M. Everyone looked great and I think our class is aging well!

I heard a rumor that Mullen was really there last night....dressed in a Dave Paukovitz costume. Dave actually never made the trip from SC.

Great time had by all. It was so good to see and talk to all. I agree with Dave and M.J. about how well our class as a whole get along and click very well. Thanks again to Matt and gang on making last night happen! Since it was so much fun, maybe we should look into having a yearly summer picnic or something of the sort???

Kristen,

I'll forgive you....it's been 20 years. I finally added some meat to that scrawny frame I carried through H.S....so hopefully I look better now! Anyway -thanks for giving my wife your two cents on the "difficulty of three"!! The only person I had a difficult time with was Jeff Spengler...I think he went from being a Tackle to a WR - Jeff you look great!

I'll see everyone at the 25 year reunion.

Jeff

Kudos to the reunion event staff !! Great job .
Hey Pauko, I think you might want to change your career to special event photography.
My wife and I had a great time.

Carol (Schleicher) Good said...

Jeff, remember I said that three was not really that bad. Do you have selective memory?

I had a pretty good time. I really want to thank all of those individuals that treated everyone with respect and made them feel welcome. Hopefully the next reunion will be even better with more classmates being able to make it.

Thanks to the organizers of all the events, it wouldn't be a great of time if isn't wasn't for all your hard work behind the scenes!!!

On a side note, Kim, how did your husband do in the marathon on Sunday?

Rayban said...

I gotta tell ya guys, I had a blast. I was very skeptical about going to the reuion. Wasn't sure if anyone would remember me and with the exception of those in the blog, I had a hard time with names. Alot of the faces were familiar but that was about it. Everyone welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family whether they remembered me or not. I am very glad I went and look forward to it again. Thanks again crew for putting it all together it was great!
Freeman and Randy anytime you want to visit KC and watch your teams get beat by the Chiefs just let me know.

Ray, do you think your Chefs can handle the Birds from South Philly?

Rayban said...

BBQ south philly bird sounds pretty good for a tailgate entre.

Maybe not this year!

Sonya, here's Kim's husband's results:

Website Results.

Kim, I wish I would have talked with your husband more. I hope some of my advice helped. I don't know what time he was shooting for. Please let us know how he felt about the race.

i saw Kim's husband Chris interviewed on ESPN, he said, "if only I hadn't listened to that Paukovitz guy, I'm certain I would've won!"

Ray - glad to see you got home safely. I really had a good time golfing with you and talking throughout the day. I forgot to give you my business card with my email. gillespie@codemaster.info I know this will open up a can of worms for a while but oh well. Keep in touch. Go Steelers!!!!! (even though the pretty much suck right now)Great job to all who made this a fun reunion. Lets not wait so long to do it again!!!!!

Rayban said...

I agree Randy, great time golfing and catching up. My email is ranagiewicz@gmail.com I don't have much hope for the Chiefs right now but you never know anything can happen.

I is so great to see some signing on that I haven't seen before..... or very rarely.

I can't wait to see everyone again.

I had a blast! I don't want to wait another 5 years to do this again! Mostly everyone looked the same--must have been the Catty water! If so, I am moving back! It was GREAT to see everyone! It has been 10 years since I have seen most of you--or longer!!

Matt- you saw the video too? I hope Dave wasn't too upset. JK....He was shooting for 4 hours but after finishing- he really could have cared less about his time. He was thrilled to finish and to say he 'ran a marathon'. However, I think it will be his first and last one. He plans on just running a few times a week for fun- no more training. Thanks for asking. He really enjoyed talking to Dave and Sonya about the whole thing.
I am still hoarse!!!!

Matt- how do I delete my repetitive comments? I don't know how I did that?

mathbach said...

i took care of them, but for future reference you can just click on the trash can icon to delete.

Thanks dude. One take home from the reunion that I had.......I didn't realize how much I had missed everyone until I saw them again. Don't want to ever be out of touch that long again!! I'm such a sap these days but it's true. Thanks for a wonderful, memorable weekend everyone!!! Sniff.

hey shuey....we need to share the story that you told brad & I at the reunion about the reason you have not posted a bio......i re-read that bio again and although there are some parts that may be a bit depressing, i dont think it sounds so bad that you should not have posted a happy bio!!! hopefully you will get back on here, see this and share this with the entire class...brad is still chuckling today!!

I had a great time as well, I felt like I was temporarily stuck in a time warp..the only thing different from 20 years ago was that my mom wasn't waiting for me outside (thanks Mike for that memory) and I agree that everyone looked great, Michele, was it really the water? I thought it was because we were so well preserved from all the grain and mad dog..My husband was truely amazed at how well everyone got along and how much FUN was going on & that he wished his reunions were more like
that.
Tickets to the reunion $ 25.00,
new earings $ 15.00 the memories
PRICELESS!!
I had to say that..as Shuey's note is so heartfelt-- (so what's the story ??)
Talking to people you really did't hang around w/in school was so nice
you got to know them better. This blog is great but if ya want to drop a more personal line ... mail me at LITLMOMMA@AOL.COM, hope to see more pics soon !! Lisa

interesting note: in the past week there have been 821 visitors to the blog and 3,595 page views. i think it is safe to say, people were excited before the party and continue to think about each other afterwards.

randyg said...

Matt - shouldn't there be some sort of count down timer on the site showing how much time until the next reunion? At least then we would all know how long until we got to see each other again. Do your magic.

Hey, Michele....That was my comment about the Catty Water!!!

The reunion was great, My thoughts are right up there with Mike Shuey...We are all very fortunate to have what we all have together! I had no aspirations of going to the reunion & it turned out to be not at all what I expected. We are more than a class, we are family.

Penny, Jeff Perdicks' wife, had commented that she couldn't get over how much fun everyone was & how well EVERYONE got along!

Thank you to all who arranged the blog & all the get togethers...However, let's not wait so long to get together again...A few hours together just didn't seem to be enough...I don't even feel like I had enough time to listen to everyone's stories!!

Miss You All!!!! Stacey

Dolphins, alright I will route for your team when they aren't playing the Chiefs. My mistake on the husband thing, Friday night is a little fuzzy on all the details so I just assumed. I am pretty sure I was over served!

Michelle (Heist) Edwards said...

Ray, you know what happens when you assume???? I think you were just a little over served! At least you had a great time. I have sent pictures to Dave to post on the blog but they haven't seem to have gotten there yet. Since you posted your e-mail, I will e-mail them to you.
