You wouldn't have guessed that I worked in the Computer Software industry for the last 16 years...but I finally figured this damn' blog thing out! Here is a quick summary of what I've been up to. Attended (&Graduated) from Florida in 4 years -becoming a Die Hard Gator Fan along the way (I bleed Orange & Blue as much as Brown & White). I've worked for the same company for the past 16 years since graduating from Florida in '90. I moved to Maryland along the way for a few years -even saw Sonya a few times. The last time I saw some of you was about this time - at our 5 year reunion. I eventually moved to Corporate HQ in '94, in West Chester PA. - Where I've been ever since (I actually live Coatesville, home of RIP Hamilton for you Basketball Fans).
In many ways, this year will be eventful for our family, as my company was purchased this past year and is moving to Texas (I was offered a promotion to Director, but am not moving -Only Steers & Queers in Texas! - Long isn't that why you left??). Now it's time to open a new chapter -luckily severence was based on time of service and seniority, so I have some time to get my crap together...maybe even enjoy some time with the Family. Speaking of which -I Got married in 1999 - Penny (Don't you pitty her -say the full name out loud a few times...it's better than My cousin "Sue"). Two Kids - Mariska Olga, born in a blizzard on Feb. 16, 2003 (we made it to the hospital in time!) and Peyton Michael, born on December 27, 2004 (He was due on X-mas Day, so I appreciated the delay!). Here are pictures of my two most prized possessions...future Doctor (so she tells me ever day - a "moo-moo cow doctor") and a Future Quarterback (he just doesn't know it yet...an early walker at 10 months).
Hope to see everyone later this year.

Welcome Jeff. Nice to hear from you. Your kids look great!
Vicki,
What are you doing on-line at 7AM?? I just posted a note for you under your blog - but I didn't see if post yet.....How's the UK?? I've visited our offices there a few times and visitied some WWII sites and the Air Museum in Duxford -north of London...nice countryside!! What is your Due Date??
Jeff
Duxford?! My husband is a WWII buff and he loves Duxford! I can't believe you've been there! I'm due in couple of weeks. Life in the UK is good. I've been here 11 years and whenever I go back to the U.S. to visit people are like, "Oh, you have an English accent!" and I don't! At least, my English friends don't think so.
Jeff, to this day I can't watch Jay Leno without remembering Gator Growl!
I probably won't be able to make it to the reunion this time around, but my e-mail address is floating around somewhere on this blog, so everybody needs to keep in touch!
Jeff,
Where is your picture????
Vicki,
Please let me know the next time you are coming to the area so I can try to come up and see you.
My picture is the same place as yours.....Where was that again??
I haven't decided which one to post yet...'m looking through photos for my best "pool shot" for everyone!! -jk. I'll see what I can find.
Hi Jeff, glad to hear from you. Your children are adorable and I am glad all is going well for you. Hopefully that job thing will work out well.
Hey Carol "slow-dance" Schleicher...how are you doing? I saw your pictures too -3 great looking boy's, they must keep you busy!! btw -We're practically neighbors -I'm on the other side of the Omish!! I think we have them pinned in.
Jeff - welcome. it is great to hear from you. the kids look great and congratulations on your impending freedom from the shackels of corporate america, make the most of it.
you better hope Billy Meyer doesn't see that Steer+Queers comment, it might motivate him to take some time off from being a cop in Houston to come up here and practice some old rasseling moves.
and you should know you can't pin in the Amish, if anything they have us surrounded, and they're just waiting for our world to crumble.
JP--You the man. My only question for you is: How in the world did you not beat my ass after having to walk to school with me every day for god knows how many years? Lord knows I likely deserved more than one.
You have great-looking kids and a great opportunity in front of you. Kudos for making the hard choice - too few of us do.
Jeff, great looking kids. Good to have you on the blog. Use your time off wisely. I am in the same severance sitauation as I prepare for my new venture.
Dave
hi jeff, good looking kids..i think our entire class did really well in that department! good luck on the new job hunt...i did the same thing 11 years ago, took and year off and spent it with my son....best thing
hi again jeff....those children are beautiful. i think it is amazing we have our children's futures all planned out without even really checking in with them. keep faith....everything will work in the world of work....and just enjoy the time off!
Jeff, now how did you remember that your were the first boy I every slow-danced with at a dance? Those were the days. I guess we are practically neighbors. How far is Coatsville from Lititz? It always amazed me how excited some people get when they see an Amish buggy because we see them everyday. Anyway, good to have you on board.
All- Thanks for the encouraging words on the job front...I meant for the post to be positive and I have faith it will work out. I'm convinced that everything happens for a reason - and this Blog is case in point. This is the best thing since sliced bread! Kudos to the "founders" (Matt, Dave, Todd L, Todd M, etc.). Although my wife is ready to kill you -I was up to 2AM last night!
Mullen - Good Question, I'm not sure how "personal foul Perdick" didn't take you out...but we walked together for nearly all of middle & High school -had some good talks along the way and an occassional Snowball Fight. I remember pegging Shannon Nidlund square in the eye from about 50 feet away (Sorry Lew!! -I think that was before you anyway). I have to say sometimes I felt like I was walking to school with "ALEX" (Family Ties)...you were always the philosopher!
Carol - You don't forget something like that, it was an honor! Coatesville is @15 miles East of Lancaster, I think your just west. My wife is there on a monthly basis spending my hard earned $$ (Carter's outlet - "What a Deal"..). We should plan on gettting the families together -maybe Strasburg RR in the sping if your kids are still into that phase.
Lew - the only certainty there is that JO PA won't be coaching...As much as I'd like to hope they get into sports, we'll expose them to everything and see what sticks! Look forward to catching up.
Pauko - Maybe we should look at alternate Business plans...Tastycake routes are an option! I also think there is an opportunity for another "Al's / Erv's" in SE PA...
Sonya -Where's your picture?!?!
Matt,
I was biting my tongue on the BM comment above, but I can no longer resist...He always wanted to wrestle anyone/anywhere/anytime (I think Mullen can back me on this...). I always wondered if he really was that interested in Wrestling or if he just resembled that comment!!
P.S. - I hope not to wrestle him ever again -hopefully he doesn't have email acess....
oh, he has been here and made comments long before you. better get out that singlet you're going to the mat.
Apologize to your wife Jeff. We were wondering how many marriages would be lost over this damned blog, and also how many jobs would be lost. We are not responsible. But if a scapegoat is needed...it was Matt's idea.
Matt,
Just saw the Fabio pictures from an earlier post -you can lost in this thing!! I don't recall that "phase" of your life...although I do remember visiting you at K-town with Yippety Yom -where is he?!?! I think I slept on your floor one night after Almond drug us off campus to a party with some chic he was stalking...Those were some blurred memories..
Jeff
Matt- You still there....go check out the Glucose Blog....I think we have a developing situation!!
Jeff - that's right - yet another person who visited the Ktown apt. do you remember coming to a party here at the house? if you check out the "parties" link of my post you're in the pic. me and some other guys shaved our heads at that party.
Almond - i need to give him a call about all this but truth be told he will not be very interested. just not in a good place.
Matt, what it up with Todd Almond? Last time I knew he was still working at McDonalds and that was a long time ago.
lives in Fullerton, works as a QA at Decca Battery. he graduated from KU with a biz degree. but he suffers from depression and as anybody who has seen him knows, he is very heavy. the last 10 years have not been good for him.
Sorry to hear that about Todd. Hopefully he will get some treatment along the way. Was or is he married?
not even close.
Bud.
Hayman.
