I hate writing things but here we go:

After high school I went to Temple for two years. I had the most fun anyone could have in that city, no regrets, but before the GPA dipped too low I transferred back home and graduated from East Stroudsburg. Around that time I met my future wife Lisa and decided to lose some weight. We were married for nine years but things didn't work out. Do have a beautiful daughter Danielle who I love with all my heart. Been working at Guardian Life Insurance for the past 11 years and of all people I STILL LIVE in Catty with my two Beagles, Reggie("miller"), and Toby. For those of you in another state I am very jealous!!

Dan the friggin' Man!

Great post, great pics, gorgeous daughter and you look fantastic!

Not sure if you noticed, but you have been missed here at the blog after your earlier participation.

Good to see you back and, uh, oh yeah, 25 times in the head!

You Hottie in the bathing suit! Your daughter is just adorable. I remember those 2 Temple years with you. It was a ton of fun. Remember Rusty Fritch was down there too?

Dan, Love the pictures. How old is your daughter she looks about the same age as my youngest. Good to be able to read about what is going on with you. I reccommend Virginia if you move. To be honest there are some times I would not mind living in Catty it is very similar to Blacksburg/Christiansburg. Love the dogs to, we have a Dacshund.

Hey Dan - great post...you learned some of Matt's magic...pretty tricky. Good to hear from you.

Should we tell Randy who created the post for Dan? Oh, never mind...

Thanks Matt for leaving me hanging. Dan stole my thunder.

Dan - You look great and your daughter is adorable. My mom used to tell me how she'd see you walking your dogs.

Sounds like Dan has a fan club of admirers from high school!
Hi Vicki!!! Don't think we've chatted yet.

Hi Kim! I love the picture at Elk! So jealous! We love all things winter in our house. My daughter nearly got me killed on the toboggan run last Christmas! Fabulous!

Hi Jame! Ida is too darn cute. Mary keeps me updated on pictures.
How are your parents? Still on 3rd Street?

Jamie said...

Now c'mon...do you think Janet and Mockie would ever move? Unless it was up to Willowbrook. He's up there more than he's at home!

LongE said...

Your dad is a golfer Jamie? I was once a good golfer. That is, .....until the stabbing incident....

LongE said...

Hey Kimy, where you living now?

Anonymous said...

Jame-
I sure didn't. Good for him- that golfing will keep him healthy.
Excuse me Jame- just read Vicki's line on tobogganing and almost getting killed. Little distracting. Ouch.

Hey Kim - hope you post your bio soon. I haven't seen a picture of Meredith(love that name!)since I was at Mare's house last...over 2 years ago!

Hey Dan....you look great! Your daughter is adorable. Don't be jealous of not leaving Catty....I think of moving back at times also....simplicity at its best and beautiful to go with it. The dogs are cute....I have 5 chihuahuas....they are just too tiny and cute!

Hi Colin.....I haven't been in touch....your girls are so cute and are you sure they are yours? ha! I love Blacksburg.....you live in a great area. I moved from Leesburg (on the Potomac) about 2 years ago. I miss that place....way too much fun!

Danny Plu. My wife Trina used to (got laid off last Oct.) work for Guardian. She was in claims and does NOT miss working. She is collecting unempl. right now and has no plans to return to the workforce. I have to echo that you are in awesome shape.
Also, I named my dog after a basketball player - he was a rottie named Charles - Full AKC name "Charles Wade Bark-Lee" but he died last July and I miss him dearly - he was my first "child". We have to make plans to meet out some time. Lots to catch up on.
Do you remember drinking in your grandfather's coal closet?
PS - hi everyone else

andrea said...

no he didn't.....i miss her, she is doing so good....she has four children also! her mom still lives up there! she lives behind lehigh...stabler fields.....we have some great memories...

how is greg doing? do you keep in touch with him?

Jeff P said...

I've been bad at keeping in touch -until this blog! I saw Schubert a few years after graduation - he was working at a car dealership in Allentown -Rothrock. I'm only about an hour 1/2 from Catty, so whenever I'm home for a Holiday weekend I see the "Mini van" invasion across the street - it looks like all the O'Mara's have quite a few. I'll stick to two - when I figure out how to post an article, I'll post pictures of my youngin's (1 & 3!!).

andrea said...

way cool...girls or boys or one of each...wut are you doing now? where do you live? did i miss your bio on here?

Jeff P said...

1 of each -the proverbial "Rich Mans Family" and I'm stopping there. It's kind of cool to see little ones following your lead and emulating you (but scary at the same time!)....I tried posting my Bio, but I'm not sure it posted correctly (This is my 1st Blog!). I see it under contributors on 1 page, but not on the main one...I'll figure it out eventually!

andrea said...

and how about your brother dave? wut is going on with him?

Jeff P said...

He is living in Jacksonville, FL -doing his Geology work for a paper mill, working in swampland (I'm not kidding -he carries a gun to shoot alligators!!). He's still as unusual as ever -and still single. Todd M - I think he's still wearing the same hat he wore to Bloomsburg everday!!

I suppose I have to jump on the Nova bandwagon.....or anyone who plays Duke....

Carol (Schleicher) Good said...

Hi Dan, good to hear from you. Great picture. I didn't even recognize you, but that may be due to the fact that I haven't seen you in forever! Your daughter is so cute!

mathbach said...

LongE - a Duke hater? why? that's my Granny's fav team, i gotta support. although it would be more fun to see the Zags take it.

mathbach said...

speaking of sports stuff - most everyday in middle school i'd walk over to Dan's grandpa's house in the mornings to walk to school. Dan would be in the a dark living room eating cereal illuminated only by the Tv which was showing this new station that was called E S P N and writing down scores in a little notebook. when he was done, he'd comb his hair one last time and we'd be on our way.

Colin said...

Andrea, Good to hear from you. Pretty sure that the girls are mine. Have you been in Blacksburg? I love Virginia. I don't get up to NOVA to much so I have not been to Leesburg. Been to the desert once a long time ago and loved it. It was beautiful. Hope you see this down here.

Dan are you going to post on this thread?

LongE said...

Matt...your Granny is a "Frontrunner"?

mathbach said...

she's liked Duke for years. makes it easy to shop for her. this year at xmas it was a big fleecy blue devil blanket.

Jeff P said...

Matt,

Your ESPN comment brought back some bad memories from Freshman year or so....I remember riding my bike from N. Catty to S. Catty (seemed like a long distance back then) after school to play "Australian Rules Football" at sheckler with Dan, Chuck, Chris, Tootie -and I think you too!! I also remember playing an early version of Arena FB -bouncing a Nerf off the wall of an old school across the street from McGlades place....we had way too much energy back then!!

mathbach said...

vivid memories of both - ohhhhh the competition.

who's arm got broken playing fumblitus at a friday night game in the area south of the endzone?

LongE said...

I remember playing some football in the little church parking lot near Chucks house....and kicking the extra points up against the church....

Jeff P said...

Good one Long...that's what I was trying to remember. We really were the early innovators of Arena Football -who the hell would think to kick an "extra point" between the different shades of cement on the wall??? We should have taken that idea further.

Matt -was that Chuck that broke his arm???

Jeff P said...

Dan the Man...what is up?!?!? I figured if I tried to offend you a couple of times you'd - I guess I'll try harder next time!

So who you takin for your tournament pool?!?!? Nova', the Dukies? UCONN??

andrea said...

do you really think duke will step up? they didn't look that great tonight....and what was up with that police escort before the game being over?

mathbach said...

Granny is not going to be happy about tonight.

Steve Freeman said...

Hey Dan, Big Brother at Guardian is watching. You better be careful. Wassup, remember "Call Mom" and "Belly Rubbing" and "hairy hind"?

mathbach said...
