mj, when are you going to be in san diego?
Andrea....heading to Southern Cal. late August. I can't wait we are flying to LA and visiting Hollywood, San Diego and Sequoia Nat. park. Its alot of traveling but those are the main things I want to see. Had to go to the park more for my hubby but I do want to see it as well not to mention the experiance for the kids. Rented a Lincoln towncar for the drive to be comfy. Everyone thinks I am nuts but I want to see Beverly Hills and the Walk of Fame. (I bet Kristen would like that part of the trip.) I have been trying to find info on game shows what a hoot that would be to get on one. Anyway why do you ask? Have you been there? Any tips??? Oh and Airfare was so cheap $230 a person hard to beleive.
MJ, I think is sounds cool (even the park....I like hiking/camping) and yeah, San Diego is a blast! My kids like Wild Animal Park! If you have time check it out...way cool! The beach is ALWAYS A MUST!!! You'll have fun in Bev. Hills.....do some shopping (ha)!! How long are you going to be there?
going for 9 fun filled jam packed days, 3 will be spent in SD. We plan to go to the ZOO, the Animal park and a day at LaJoya beach. I am hoping to avoid Disney since we were just there in December but I think the kids will whine that win out and really it may be our only oppurtunity to go to the one in CAL. The only real LONG drive is from LA to the National park (4 hours) so we should be ok. We are doing that the day we arrive to get it out of the way. That day will be extremely long but hopefully worth it. Thank god for portable DVD players. I think Austin will want to check out the surfing but I hear the water doesn't get real warm so we will see. I am counting on the old song "it never rains in southern california" HAHA
Never been there in Aug. I usually go in May, June, or July. The water is freezing (aug. may be warmer after a whole summer), but it is worth them getting in. My children love it. Drew tries surfing (I put him in a camp two summers ago for a week...he had fun) You will enjoy the animal park and if it comes down to zoo, disney and animal park....do the animal park and disney....one zoo is like the next, but the animal park is WORTH IT!!!
yes I heard the animal park is awesome. We would do Disney before we get to SD so we should be able to do everything. I actually think one day in Hollywood will be enough might just do the typical tour thing and try and jam alot into that day then head over to Disney the next day. What else can you do in SD besides the Zoos and beach? Thanks for the tips.....what can you tell me about going to Hollywood?
haven't been to hollywood since summer after graduating....lot's of shopping! downtown san diego is really beautiful (great mexican restaurants...margaritas), boardwalk is fun with amuzement park for kids....(lying on the beach and shopping, what else is there?) U can take ferries to islands (off san diego), Just drive down PCH when you are coming in from LA area. It is really a neat drive and you see the homes, coastal view the whole way! Traffic SUCKS!! bring lots of dvd's.....

mj/you hit the nail on the head with the whole hollywood thing, and as far as game shows go, i would die to do the price is right...also, getting away from the rugrats is always a good thing..trisha up at 6am again today so i could also do a margarita right about now...speaking of, andrea, i will be having an AA sponser contacting you soon!
Kristen, I'm preparing for my future! 06-06-06....at 3:00 p.m....it will all be done with and I am beginning again!!! Now I know you will drink to that!!
I will be home for sure in July. I was going to be home in June, but my friend from Virginia is coming to visit....so let's plan for when Kristen gets home from Myrtle Beach....Aug??
what i meant to say above, mj, lets plan to get kristen out when she gets back from mb....i'll be home until aug. 12 or 13....so we will have plenty of time to get together and drink....I mean visit!
my first day to sleep in (kids last day of school was yesterday) and I was up at 6:30....what is that about? and NO, i didn't drink last night, so no hangover!
that's if i come home from myrtle beach!
ok, now you are scaring me....what do you mean IF? i know getting up at 6:30 isn't all it's cracked up to be.....but look for a positive in there!..haha!

don't really need practice I get that monthly when I play pinochle with the girls.........I know sounds like I am getting old but we have a good time away from the kids.
