Is Flounder coming home?

A few weeks ago, Colin made a comment that he was going to be back in "town" on the weekend of May 12th. Colin, is there any truth to this comment? If so, should we all try to get together for a quick "one"? If anyone was interested in what he's up to go to the Virginia Tech Student Athlete Academic Support Services Page.
I think the "Blue Monkey's Music System needs to be checked again", and if Colin could post a time/date, I know I will make the attempt to test the system.

Colin,

Very cool job you have...no wonder you took offense to my statements on Marcus Vick's Scores. By the way...do you "hook him up" on the side too?!?! (just kidding).

Steve, I would love to see some people and test the sound system. Saturday night after dinner is best for us, but we could be there Friday night after 10:00 if more people could make it then. Let me know what works best and we will be there.

Jeff, My job is probably alot like everyone else's job. Some parts are great some are brutal. I did not mean to jump you about Marcus. I was actually curious what his Wonderlik was. He is a pretty smart guy, who likes to do dumb things.

Saturday would be better for me, plus, if you are traveling on Friday, do you really want to go out starting at 10:00 (I'm usually in bed by then - getting old you know).

Steve, Saturday is better for me as well. Give me a time. Friday would have been tough to be sure. Any other takers?

Hey Colin,
Nice write up on the website at VT. It sounds like life is treating you well. Being a Miami Dolphins fan, should we really give Marcus Vick a shot??? Take care!

Lew, You will not want to miss Lisa's (my wife) bourbon and ginger ale drinking exhibition. I, being the driver for the evening and lightweight, will be taking it easy.

Michelle, If you want Miami to win this year hope that Culpepper is healthy. If Marcus plays a couple years in some league (Arena, Canada, Europe) he could be a winner. He might make a mean receiver right now. He was phenominal when he played some at wideout. Things for me are going well right now, but grades come out next week. Like you, my kids are very mportant to me and they are both happy and healthy. I enjoyed seeing the picture of your daughter in your bio, she is beautiful. I hope that things continue to get better and better for you and your daughter.

Colin,
I have to help my father-in-law put up a pool Saturday, so night would be better for me. Coline come up with a time for everyone, please.

Coline? was that a typo or a swipe at his manhood because of his drinking plan for the night?

Steve Freeman said...

It was a typo. I could not find it and looked up and down the comments and skipped over mine.

Sorry Colin!

colin....it is great to see that you are doing so well! i loved virginia and would love to get back there one day, but this sun is to die for!!

Steve, 8:00 PM. We are taking Pat out to dinner, it is his birthday on Friday. After that we will be heading to the Monkey. This should be early enough that none of us will fall asleep in the establishment. Good luck with the pool.

Matt, Thanks for defending my honor, I think. Will you be joining us Saturday? The more the merrier.

Andrea, Love the mountains and the mild weather in Virginia. Mississippi was way to hot and humid for me but I was in Phoenix for a conference a few years ago and it seems as though there really is something to the dry heat thing. I could see where living in the desert is nice. I am doing allright but you are your own boss, right. That sounds good to me. Wish you were in town it would be nice to see you Saturday.

Kristen, What does your front office say?

andrea said...

Colin, yes...the desert is beautiful especially when the moon is full or the sun is going down. I do enjoy it here! business is really growing and i won't complain about that. it would be great to be in town to see you. just finishing up some personal stuff out here and then i'm planning a trip back...but i will definitely see you at the reunion...right?!

How about some updates from Saturday's sound system testing? Any good stories?

Colin, his wife, and I had a nice time (short time) talking school and work. We could not stay long, all of us were getting tired of the loud music, smoking, and we all admit we were ready to go home and get some shut eye.
It was fun, and no one got hurt. I did lose my wallet, but it was being cared for by the bartender (and everything was actually still in it).
