hmmmm, don't recall her. Any idea how she died? I did happen to notice contrubutions go to the Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance. So sad to die so young and leave 4 children behind.

mj, if i would have to guess, i would say she took her own life...you can read the guestbook on mcall.com and that leads me to believe she was going through some rough times...while we were away, there were 2 people that we knew that also killed themselves, one had issues similar to or may have been bipolar...it is a very sad situtation especially with kids

I had heard that Matt Williams (younger than us) is sick with some type of cancer. Does anyone know this for sure? MJ - his parents lived next to your Mom's place.

I remember her - I remember her as a very nice person. It is such a shame that she got to that point. Thanks Donna for point this out.

Randy, pretty sure Matt is in Utah, heard it from Scott Shander and Scott Whitman a few years ago.

I don't remember Rachel personally but she sounds like a wonderful person to have known. Reading the Guest Book is touching, especially the one Dagny wrote to Rachel's parents.

Hi everyone...long time no see for some of you, for others, good to see you all again.

I wanted to comment on Rachael and Matt, as I know them both very well, and am in touch with both situations.

First, Rachael Kerin died on the 29th of July. It doesn't really matter how she died, but that she left many friends who can comment as to how great a person she was, and how her memory will live on to those she touched. She had many demons that haunted her, I just hope she can find peace wherever she may be. She was a good person, and I just hope one day someone can say the same for me.

Second, Matt Williams had cancer in his throat. He is living in Utah (about 30 minutes from Matt Solomon), had a litter full of kids, and a very nice wife. His friends in Catty had a spaghetti dinner for him to help raise money to offset the costs. He is doing fine, and from all indications the cancer is gone. He came home a few weeks ago and thanked everyone personally for all the help and support they gave. He teaches shop class to all the good little morman boys and girls in mormanland (can we say Meunker?). And he still owes the 13 of us in our marriage pact a keg, of which Jeff Horninger and Brian Deutsch are the only ones left. Go Deutsch!

Thank you for letting me post Steve, and if anyone wants to say hello, my email is Shander52@rcn.com.

I remember Rachael well, also from creative writing class. I remember she had a good sense of humor. My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time.
