Paris

Some pictures of my Eighth Grade trip to Paris. No one got killed or arrested, so overall a success.

Wow, that was quick. I'm glad the trip was a success.

Summer vacation is finally here! I don't go back to work until September 3rd! We're going back to France next Friday for two weeks. We've rented a little house with a pool next to a lake, near a little village. Can't wait! Then four days after we get back from France, we're going on a cruise to Ireland. My father in law (bless him) decided it would be a good idea to take the whole family on a cruise. I've never been to Ireland, so this is really exciting for me.

Vicki I have never really wanted to travel much outside of the US until I hit all the places here that I want to see but you make me really interested in going overseas. Enjoy your time off.

MJ, I'm DESPERATE to do a road trip across the U.S. When I was a kid, my parents and I drove in a Winnebago to California. My dad was like Clark Griswold, and would drive 400 miles out of his way to see the World's Largest Ball of String. I really, really, want to do something similar with my family. I remember what fun it was. There's so much to see in the U.S. and I've been away for so long that sometimes I forget what a diverse and amazing place it is.

funny story friends of ours just bought a 1974 rv and went on a 3 week road trip needless to say they didn't make it home and everyone flew back from Kansas except the dad who last i heard was driving home 40 miles an hour in Missouri. He may be home by Sept. Why they would risk a trip like that in an rv that old is beyond me. The money they thought they were saving is long spent and then some. I prefer to do a few National parks at a time over the course of a lifetime. I want to stay married and a 3 week road trip would not be a good way to do that.

Vicki - did you get to see any of the preparation for the final day of the Tour De France this coming Sunday? I would love to see the final day of the race in Paris at some point in my lifetime.

MJ - that's a pretty funny story. "That there's an RV". There are so many good quotes from that movie.

Randy, the last two trips I have made to Paris have been during the Tour de France. You can't see it but in the picture of the Arc de Triomphe, the avenue leading up to it on both sides has chairs, bleachers, the French flag all up and down the road. It's pretty impressive.

"The shitter was full!"
