What's the scoop?

How about everyone give us an update on what they have been up to since the reunion, since summer started, or going to be doing something in the future?

Rock, that graphic is awesome, and the idea is great too. - I'll start. Since the reunion, I've lost 30 pounds (and working toward 40). I hang out everyday at Gold's Gym in Bethlehem and hang out by my pool in the afternoon (when its nice). I frequent Chuckie Cheese with my boys (Trae 8 - Liam will be 5 in 10 days) and G movies (latest was Ratatouille - really good) when the weather is not so good. I grill as often as possible and try to go bike riding with both boys when I can. Since I teach, I also take grad. courses in the summer (have to start another, but can't get motivated). That's about it. Boring, but I like it that way./

at the moment, i am sitting in the kitchen of my myrtle beach condo, having coffee, watching the ocean, waiting for my breakfast...the weather has been great and the ocean temp is in the 80's...other than this vacation, my summer isnt all that different from the rest of the year except we spend more time in the pool...duh! nice new graphics, but they had me alarmed at first, thinking something was wrong

I was going to post vacation pictures but I'll wait a few days and leave this post up to see if anyone else comes out of cyberspace. My summer is very laid back I don't have much going on now that vacation and baseball are over we pretty much just hang out at the pool all day and chill all summer. Just the way I like it no stress no alarm clock. I am trying to figure out a nice place to go for a long weekend in early October for our anniversary (no kids)Suggetions anyone???

Rock since you started the post tell us what are you up to?

Our summer isn't much different than the rest of the year. Keeping busy with Ida and John. John has started crawling and now that he is mobile things are crazier than normal. My husband is busier than usual with his job and his real estate business. He just put an offer on another house to rehab.

Meanwhile, I am trying to find something that gets me out of the house and gives me a little break. And no, foodshopping doesn't count!

I haven't missed teaching since I left the classroom five years ago. But once in a while it would be nice to have a professional conversation or something to do other than my normal routine.

Next year...I'm going on vacation no matter what. Keep an eye out for us in Myrtle Beach, Kristen!

Hi Everyone, our summer has been filled with baseball. All three boys play in different leagues and my oldest son, Josh, also plays on a tournament team that travels. When we are not at a baseball field, we usually try to hang out at our local pool. The boys hang out with their friends and I hang out with mine. It is a win win situation . Next week we are headed to Nags Head, NC on the Outerbanks for our vacation. We rent a big house with two other families and it is alot of fun. I have been jealous reading Kristen's posts from vacation because I wish I was there right now. Maybe I will post some pictures when I get back if I can figure out how to do it again. It has been great hearing from everyone and reading what y'all are up to this summer.

Kristen and Steve- I like the new look of the blog. Thanks for keeping things going.

Carol we always stay in S. Nagshead when we go to OBX. This is the 2nd year out of 7 that we aren't going and I miss it!!! Have fun and go to Big Al's and have a vanilla coke for me.

Hi everyone,

Well, I have found some of Steve's weight since the reunion. I have been injured a few times and without running I can't keep the weight off. I went home to PA for my birthday and went to New Hope for the day with my parents. No vacations planned since we have no money. Rob is finishing up with summer college course and will begin working full-time until fall course begin. Work is quite hectic and Mia and Neon are a handful like always. I have to say Mia misses running and I miss her doing it too. She has way too much energy now that I haven't been taking her running. Oh well. Next big step with Mia is to have her fixed sometime in August.

Looking forward to hearing from others.

Since summer started it has been busy as usual. Started out by going to a Nascar race at Pocono. If you ever get a chance to watch it from the infield go for it. Pretty much one BIG party! Been to the Scnecksville fair,Cabin for the 4th of July. Last weekend had a backyard campout. Going on our usual trip to OC Maryland and plan on going to Raystown lake before Ryan starts Kindergarten this year.
We put Ryan in daycare 3 half days a week to let him get used to being around other kids and so it wouldn't be such a shock going to kindergarten. He will be fine and didn't even cry the first day. He is going another week yet and we are pulling him so he has a break before he starts kindergarten. That is pretty much it for now.

Steve and Kristen way to keep the blog going!

MJ, we'll have to look for Big Al's. This is our first time staying in S Nags Head so we are not sure what all is there. We used to stay closer to Corolla, but there is not much to do and not many restaurants. Can you recommend any great seafood restaurants or placed that you can order crabs/shrimp/seafood to go? We also thought we would try a little fishing maybe from a pier. Getting more excited for vacation all the time!

Carol Big Al's is o the road going over to Roanoke Island. It's a 50's burger joint but has the best homemade vanilla cokes. There is alot to do over there for kids at the festival park and there is an Aquarium there as well. We have enjoyed eating at Kelly's, The Dunes, Miller's and on the higher end Tale of a Whale. Dirty Dick's and Auful Arthur's might be good for take out. You can catch fish right from shore if you get some squid for bait and have a good heavy surf rod. No need to go to the pier.

Macko Mikes is good too.

MJ, thanks for the tips. I will definitely look some of those places up. I think we might try surf fishing also. My youngest son, Dawson, loves fishing and he would love to try that. Thanks again!

Bumped into Laurie Matchette walking home from Hokey park. She is practically neighbors with us. Turns out her daughter and Ryan and Bobby Laruso's(sp) twins will all be starting kindergarten at Whitehall as 'lil' Zephyrs this year. Lew Walker has 'lil' Zephyrs coming soon too. Anyone else have kids going to Whitehall now or soon to be?

Rock -- great job on the blog. My daughter is going into 8th grade at Whitehall with Laurie/Randy's daughter. It is hard to believe that this will be their last year in the middle school. As far as vacations go, I am going to the Bahamas in November. My daughter is leaving tomorrow for the shore with her dad for the week so I get a break. Not sure what I will do with all my spare time. It sounds like everyone is enjoying their summer and it is hard to believe that we are almost through July.

Nice work on the blog. I'm a bit miffed that the original founding fathers aren't around much anymore. I miss Mullen. There, I've said it.
Didn't get to the reunion (I will make the next one) but here's an update anyway. Finally getting rid of that 20 lbs in baby weight I've been carrying around since last spring. I've started running again and it's slow going and some days I hate it but I know it will be worth it in the end. We're going on vacation at the end of next week. I'm not hard core like Kristen. I won't be posting while I'm on vacation. Honestly, I probably would if I had a laptop! Keep blogging everyone!
