Sorry about the sad News

With all the happy baby talk, i hate to post this, but thought it important. I'm sure many of you remember the Linton family. From the class of 1984, Debbie Linton, passed away yesterday. Some type of cancer, not sure exactly what. I will get more information, hopefully, if her obituary is in the Morning Call, and update everyone soon. This world has lost a very special person!

I'm sorry to hear about Debbie. She was a tremendous athlete and a nice person. Please put up some details when you get them Kristen, and thanks for letting us know.

I have been in touch with some who are close with the family this weekend. She had breast cancer a while back, did go through treatments and apparently was in remission. But as it goes, often with cancer- it came back with a vengeance recently. She was such a healthy, vibrant woman from a wonderful family. It really doesn't make any sense.
The viewing and service is on Saturday at 10am at First Presbyterian Church (3005 S. Front St) in Hokey if anyone is interested in paying their respects. Contributions are also being accepted to the church.

Unfortunately, Debbie had cancer. She was in alot of discomfort and it was a true blessing from GOD that he took her to heaven. She is in a much more peaceful place. We need to keep her son and family in our prayers.

This is truly sad news. If you go to www.mcall.com and then to obituaries you can view hers and also sign the guest book at the top right hand corner of the web page.

Thanks Randy for the heads up. I'm sure her family will appreciate the guest book. I didn't realize that we could do that. At least it's a little something we could do to help her family at this difficult time.

hey everyone. this is such sad news. i was wondering what kind of cancer she had. it brings up a lot of fear for me (obviously). i'm 2 years out and they say if relapse occurs it's usually in the 2nd & 3rd year. i'm starting on a new preventative treatment in the next month. god. i'm so sorry to hear this news.

Jude-
I thought of you too and I worried. But I also know of more women who have "beat it" than those who haven't. And I am sure that you know of many more. Have faith and stay strong- as I know you will! We'll all be thinking of you. Ditto on the good luck!
