Halloween Came Early This Year

I came home from work today and found that someone had sent me the most WONDERFUL halloween parcel - Reese's pumpkins (they lasted about two seconds) and peeps. I'm sorry to say that John hid most of this from me and the children because he knows what we're like (see the comment above about the Reese's pumpkins!) but he did leave us some treats so we could stuff ourselves. He'll requisition the rest at the end of October.

I was going to send a private e-mail to say thanks, but the package was so big and so generous, I wanted to tell everyone that Sonya spent a small fortune on postage to send me this unbelievably nice and totally unexpected gift. From the bottom of my heart (and my tummy) thank you.

Halloween candy has been out for a few weeks and the second I saw the pumpkins I thought of Vicki and knew I had to send her some. I figured if I waited there would be none left to send later. I could not find any cocoa peeps to send - I looked everywhere here.

Didn't you love the box it came in!! I sent it in a cereal box to reduce the postage. I thought it worked quite well...

Vicki - isn't your birthday coming up?

As I sit here and read this I think about what a great class we had. All of the nice things everyone is doing for each other such as opening up your home, mini golf passes, and especially the candy. We are situated all over the country and yet we still are able to bring smiles to our classmates faces. We're pretty lucky!

I agree with you 100%. This blog has also helped me realize what I missed in high school. I'm having a hard time coming up with the right words, but, here I try - hopefully I offend no one.....I spent so little time with my classmates and there are people that I thought I would never like in high school that now I look forward to seeing on the blog. I realize how stupid/childish I was in high school and sometimes wonder what all I missed out on....how different things might have been. Oh well, can't live in the past - just learn and move on into the future.

thats all part of becoming an adult, I personally wish I would have done a little less partying and showed a bit more school spirit.

sonya, i think you said it perfectly well! and mj confirmed my thoughts exactly! none-the-less, i wish i had more time to sit and write without staying up until midnite or getting up at the crack of dawn. this is definitely a place of serenity for me sometimes. after some pretty tough times over the past few ....
it's given me great solice in coming here and just loving to read what you have all been up to on a daily basis! thank you!
