Steve you are early with your midlife crisis. I think you should see the goose (AFLAC) about disability insurance. That reminds me of my Honda I had as a kid (sort of). Enjoy, and for crying out loud, watch out for other drivers b/c they obviously don't watch out for motorcyclists.
I love motorcycles, and I am sure we are going to see alot more because of gas prices. I know 3 guys I work with bought scooters to go back and forth to the bus co. I would I didn't have to take me daughter to school with me.

Well, I'm ambivalent about motorcycles, but if it floats your boat dude, go for it!
Midlife crisis "early"? I figure I'm closer to about 2/3 done. Stupid freakin' DNA...
MJ, I'd actually prefer a scooter (specifically, a Burgman 650), but they're around $9k new, if you can find a dealer that can keep one in stock for more than a day. Used, they're holding their value like crazy right now. I've seen more scooters on the road in the last month or so than I've seen in the rest of my life combined.
I logged my first 17 crash-free miles today, hitting a blistering 45mph top speed.
