40 Phun in Philly

Well, 40 came and went quitely until Friday at the Phillies game. It was our first time to the new park. Our seats were two rows off the field at home plate next to the Phillies dug out.

My wife had a few tricks up her sleeve and got me pretty good.

Check out the shirt she had made and the stadium score board.

She even arranged for staff to come out and sing and then the entire section we sat in chimed in.

How could you not have fun with drunk Philly fans sitting behind you singing "happy birthday" all night long?????

happy b-day! I'll be kind since we are all approaching the big 4-0!

too bad the "Sillies" couldnt pull one out for you, although they always manage to sweep my Mets, they are falling deeper & deeper in the hole

Your wife came up with a great way to celebrate! And you don't look anywhere close to 40(which ofcourse you will say to me next year...right?)

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I just wanted it to come and go quitely and all was going well until this.

Several of the people around us couldn't believe I was 40 so I'll take that as a compliment.

My wife says I don't act my age (which I will never do!)

This will show my stupidity.....what is with the yellow bands?

randyg said...

The area we sat in was a special area. Before you could enter they had to scan your tickets and then they put these yellow bands on. Then our tickets were placed in the holder around our neck. All the food and beverages were included and they would just scan the bar code on each ticket after ordering something. It was like the royal treatment. It was a great way to see a game.

Thanks for the HBD's, all. Someday, maybe when I'm Randy's age, I'll have a killer day like his 40. Randy, sounds like you got a "keeper" there.

I always thought I was one of the youngest - looks like quite a few of us were only 17 when we graduated.
