Plans for the Summer

Are you going on vacation or staycation? We're planning on doing some camping in the UK (if the weather ever gets better!) and a week in southern Spain (where the weather is great!).

our plans are to leave for Myrtle Beach on Thurs, however, we have quite a dilemma...Jake's baseball team is in the playoffs, working their way back up the loser's bracket (its a 2 loss elimination) and the remaining schedule, should they keep winning is Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun...I'm torn between wanting them to win and leaving for vacation. We would never make HIM go and most likely if they keep winning we will go later...We have considered going & him & my mom can fly down on Monday, but I cant leave with his team going to the championship game! so its possible him & I and my mom will fly...most likely we will all stay and drive on sunday night...what makes it even worse is that we can get in early & have a free night because the people that are there this week are leaving Thur. We already have our keys & parking passes starting Fri istead of Sat...so we could have a free night, or lose 2 nights, oh the anxiety

Kristen, have you seen that they opened a new Hard Rock park at Broadway on the Beach. Its pretty nice, especially for the kids. My friend owns a Mini golf course at North Myrtle so we go on few weekends to see them. Hope you have a good trip.

yes, tracy..brad is planning on going to take Jake & my nephew & niece & her dad to the Hard Rock park...but we're not sure what kind of rides they have for the little ones so they will not go this year. at $50 a piece we thought we'd wait to see...have you been there? let me know...which mini golf course do your friends own. We stay in North Myrtle and I'm sure the kids have already been to it. I dont think there is a course they havent played!

We just got back last night from 5 days at Lake Onieda it was really nice (I'll post later). We might go to Virginia in late August depending how over budget my husband goes on his polebarn project. Then over Thanksgiving we head to Mexico for a late 40th b-day celebration.

We made last minute plans and went to Myrtle Beach, the Litchfield Inn (south). Very good place for younger kids right on the beach.

Kristen, my friend owns The Mayday course, the one with the big yellow airplane one the main street going thru Myrtle and N. Myrtle. Sometimes she has passes for us, I'll see if she can leave some at the desk for you if you like. If you are already staying in N. Myrtle it won't be such a hike for you to get there. We stay at Camelot or the Hilton when we go which is a bit away from N. Myrtle.

tracy, yes, we definately played that course, more than once...any passes would be great...you can let me know on here...we stay in N. Myrtle in the windy hill section..waterpoint II...we used to stay at windy hill dunes but found this cheaper & less crowded

Kristen, I haven't forgotten you. I am waiting to here from Marie about the passes. She is down at Myrtle right now and sometimes it takes a while for her to get her messages. I will try her again this afternoon.

KRISTEN

(from Tracy, her internet is down)
The 5 passes are waiting for you at the golf course under your name. Any problems, ask for Marie.

Have fun on vacation.
