Send Warm Thoughts or a Prayer

Some of you may remember the Jacksits family from Catty. Jeff was a grad of 82 and Judy 83. Jeff's wife Leanne was also an 82 grad. Jeff is a teacher at Catty Middle School for many years now and used to be the assistant girls basketball coach. He is also MaryJo's cousin. His daughter was tragically killed over the weekend in a car accident. There has been much too much of these senseless accidents lately, and this one hits too close to home. You can read of the accident at http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-b3-4jacksits.6215852jan07,0,2626044.story?coll=all_tab01_layout (I hope this works, or go to mcall.com) There has been an overwhelming outpouring of love and support, and yours will also help. And don't forget to hug your children!

Yes please everyone pray for Jeff, LeeAnn and their son Bradley. Nothing could be more tragic than losing a child. I agree give your kids a little more love tonight.

No relation to me but known by my family. My Dad coached Jeff in basketball. It does certainly hit home being parents. How does one ever overcome something like this? I just cant' begin to imagine what it must be like. My prayers go out to their family.

They have been in my prayers and will continue to be. I am not sure you ever get over the loss of a child. It is truly sad.

Just wanted to say what an amazing show of love and support I witnessed last night at Jenn's viewing. I forgot what it means to grow up in a small town and last night brought back a part of that. The amount of people who came out to express their sympathy was incredible and even though exhausted I am sure Jeff and LeeAnn really appreciate it. Jenn will surely be missed but not forgotten.

MJ - When I checked out the guestbook on-line yesterday, there was 27 pages. My neighbor commented to me that the Catty community has really seemed to have rallied around this family. She was very impressed. I continue to keep the Jacksits family in my prayers.

I don't think it is just Catty people. The church I attend in Allentown had even mentioned this tragic event in their prayers. I believe it's a community of many that feel the pain of losing a child. It's difficult to understand why it happened to such a young person who was obviously well liked and respected.

I supose your right Randy I like to think that the community I live in would also rally to help and support a family in this type of situation.

What a horrible tragedy. I have a friend who lost a child nearly two years ago. She'll never get over it, in fact, she's still learning to live with it. Watching my friend go through this horrible experience makes me understand what the Jacksits must be going through, and they will definitely need all the the support they can get at a time like this.

Saw it myself, my heart sank, Jeff grew up a block away. Prayers be with them.

But your right Kris, half of Catty is at least related to Gillespies ..LOL

Sorry to hear about this. My Mgr at McDonald's (back in the day) - Rod Peters married Judy. I was close friends with him and (Judy too). They still live in Catty too. I haven't spoken to them since last year...but the whole Family will be in our prayers.

Jeff
