We were introduced by a mutual friend.
I met Forrest when we worked together at Brown printing in 1993. We dated 9 months got engaged and were married 9 months later. I'll never forget the look of shock on my MIL face when I showed her the ring. She thought it was much too soon. We'll be married 14 years in September.
Donna, good question! Maybe it will get some people blogging again... No surprise here though...friends with his sister first, around town, school...and we'll be married 16 years June 27.

Remember, I was married before for 14 years. John and I were in contact and were good friends while I was married. After I got divorced, he was able to correct his mistake of not marrying me in the first place. :-)

BUT...it wasn't a dating site...really!
He went to high school with my friend and roommate and they had been friends for years. One weekend she was out of town and a chat popped up on the computer she and I shared. I told him she wasn't home. We chatted for a while and then continued to do so for about two months. He was working in Japan at the time. When he flew back to the US, instead of going to Florida, he came to PA to meet me. We dated long distance(he flew me to FL for weekends!)for less than six months, got engaged, and were married in November, 2002.
So I guess we actually met through a mutual friend...via the internet. I always knew that my friend had a friend name Tom from her hometown. Just never thought I'd marry him.
He likes to tell people that we met while he was in Japan. Then people expect me to be Japanese.
Ok, this answer is WAY too long!
I have said this earlier, but Rob and I met when I answered his personal ad in a weekly ad/paper called the "Pennysaver". His title was "Heart of Gold"....we have been dating now for 4 years and 4 months....

Ok, I've been away from the blog for a while, but I'll answer this one. When I escaped Mullen and moved from Harrisburg to Philly, Stacey connected me with her ex-roommate/best friend from podiatry school. (They still had a couple years left) She had an extra room in a 5 bedroom house. With some effort, the best friend is now the wife.
Michael and I met at a Memorial Day pool party. We dated about a year and moved to Charlotte together. We married a couple years later and have been married almost seven years.
