Favorite?

Which is your favorite Christmas "movie/special"?

Mine are "The Year Without A Santa Claus" because of the Miser Brothers and I like Yukon Cornelius in "Rudolph" - Yukon says "The fog is as thick as peanut butter", Herbie says "Don't you mean pea soup", and Yukon replies, "You eat what you like and I'll eat what I like".

The Year Without A Santa Claus

If I recall, the Badlees(local) band remade the heat miser and freeze miser song a few years ago, remember hearing it on WZZO.

I love the little guys dancing around

I have the box set with Frosty, Rudolph and the whole gang. I still love Year Without a Santa Claus best!

My favorite, which I just finished watching for the 2nd time this season is "The Year Without a Santa Clause". I LOVE the Misers' and sang the songs to Rob before going to bed last night.

Rob's favorite is a Christmas Story and I have to watch that with him every Christmas Eve.

Vicki, I assume everything is okay with you? I thought of you when I heard about the tornado.

Mike, you know the Badlees?! Mullen and I were groupies like 10 years ago in Harrisburg, partied with them a lot. Our names are mentioned on one of their albums.

A Christmas Story, all the way. I could watch that movie like 24 hours a day, which I do once a year. For all you fans out there, check out the website where a guy recently bought and restored Ralphie's house to it's original movie condition. He also sells the leg lamp major awards, here.

You'll shoot your eye out!!!

I have that DVD too. Love it, love it. And it isn't Christmas in my house without Christmas Vacation. I think we've got every Christmas DVD imaginable.

Sonya, I live 200 miles from London. We're fine, but thanks for asking!

Dave, I used to follow the Armadillos. Seen the Badlees mainly when they came to the Valley.

That's pretty neat they mentioned you guys in an album, I liked their music.
They still playing?

A christmas story definately rates high in our family too, although I have the video for 2-3 years now and i think it is still unwrapped...the 24 hour channel is usually on at my brothers house and i think thats enough for the year...my aunt bought my uncle the leg lamp last year for xmas and she puts in the front window...my kids always ask if your tongue will really stick to the pole and some days i am tempted to let them try it, especially by the time i am ready for school to be back in session....trishas favorite is the grinch (real one with jim carrey) i thought she would be scared but she loves it...in fact one day when she was crying she quoted the grinch "i'm leaking"...i almost died...

It is a toss up which is my favorite, but I would have to say that I love the Miser brothers in The Year without a Santa Clause. This year we bought our son a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas and I had to chuckle as I picked it up and hope he doesn't shoot his eye out.
