I was definitely surprised when I read the article in the newspaper. Hopefully her surgery went well yesterday and she'll be back on the bench for the Parkland Girls soon. Keep us posted if you hear anymore information.

I have never been much of an athletic person but Mrs. Heffner was the only person who encouraged me in sports and I've never forgotten that.
She is strong and has a fighting spirit. If anyone can pull through, she can!
the surgery went well, and she was up and walking around today. she may be released from the hospital tomorrow...there will be no biopsy results until later this week
