Heisty

Wow...this is truly amazing how we have contacted so many people and how all of our lives have changed over the last 20 years.

Since CHS, I went to LCCC and got my Secretarial Science Degree and worked for a criminal defense lawyer for 7 years. In that time, I got married and had my daughter Jenna who will be 12 in August and is in the 6th grade at Whitehall. After working for the lawyer I moved on to bigger and better things at Air Products and Chemicals where I have been for over 10 years. I went back to school to Cedar Crest College and got my Accounting Certificate for which I work in the Finance group at Air Products. I am recently divorced and have had to put my life back together for which I am a stronger person for but it wasn't easy for those who have been there know what I am talking about. My daughter is my world. This year she became a cheerleader for Fullerton Football and she loved it. Football games and cheerleading competitions were quite the scene. I tried to convince her to be a majorette like her mother, but she wanted no part of that scene, imagine that! A picture of my daughter cheerleading.....

Take Care Everyone!

State of the REUNION Address

The pic is one of me contemplating the reunion situation, what I am going to cover in my period 3 honors class, when do I have to order oil before the tank gets empty, what should I wear to school tomorrow, what should I make for dinner, and six other miscellaneous things on my long TO DO list:

Here's what's up.
I filled out RFP's (Request for Proposal) for the Holiday Inn on 512 (the one Marhefka works at), the place next to it Hampton Inn Suites, and another, I think the new one on Airport Road. When they get back to me, I will let everyone know.
Yes Kim, I will work on the group room rate. The date I asked for was October 7th, 2006. It is a Saturday and that allows people to not have to come straight into town and go directly to a reunion (unless they do that on Saturday).

Joe Cunningham

Received by email from Kristen. Hope to have Joe on the blog soon.

I graduated from East Stroudsburg and spent 8 years in the Marine Corps Reserves. I worked for a large Physical Therapy company for 11 years. This job led me to relocate frequently and travel extensively. We spent 4 years in Phoenix, AZ, 4 years back in PA, 4 months in Pensacola, FL and 4 years in West Palm Beach. I managed all operations in Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. I just left that company and moved to Dallas to manage Occupational Medicine Centers for the largest Occupational Medicine provider in the country.

My wife Heidi and I have 3 children. We adopted my oldest son, Matthew in 1999(from Romania) and then had a daughter Caitlin, age 5 and a son Sean, age 4 naturally.

I don't have much free time to blog etc... but feel free to update. I will check out the site when time permits. Reading the site makes me realize how much I have forgotten about High School. It was great to hear from you again.

Thanks Joe

Julie K! Where are you?????

Robb mentioned to me on Saturday that he has seen Julie lately. He said she has viewed the blog, but hasn't commented yet. Julie....we know you're out there!

since Lena, Julie and Michelle Heist all seemed poised to join us, i thought it a good time for this gem courtesy of Senor "Randy" Randy.

Now, my life since CHS

Well, I checked in, now a pictorial of my life.

In 1990, I graduated from Lafayette College with a BS in chemistry and a PA teaching certificate. For the first 5 years of my teaching career (all of it in the Stroudsburg Area School District), I taught 7th grade life science at the now nonexistant Stroudsburg Middle School. I luckily got transferred to the high school and now I have been teaching chemistry (all levels) for the past 11 years.
I got my Masters in Education from Wilkes University (have a degree, get alumni newsletter, but have NEVER stepped on campus), and I am currently taking as many online courses as my district will allow to move horizontally across the payscale.
In 1995, I finally moved out of the house when I bought a house (433 16th Ave., Bethlehem) with my fiancee, Trina Ruth.
In 1996, we bought two dogs, A rottweiller named Charles Wade Bark-Lee (RIP 7/10/05) and an English bulldog named King Louie Albert III (still going strong and about to turn 11 on March 13th). For a few years our "boys" were our children.
On October 4th, 1996, Trina and I got married (after we bought the house and got the dogs).
On January 31st, 1999, my first son, Trae Stephen Freeman was born, and my life totally changed. Life continued with two dogs and a son for three and a half years. Then, on July 28th, 2002, my second son, Liam Edward Freeman was born, and the house was starting to get cramped. The two boys are constantly fighting and keep my vocal cords sore. I dont' think I talk to them, just order them and yell alot.
Now, in 2006, I continue to make students lives miserable for 180 days, but some of them actually appreciate my stern, to-the-point, no-punches-pulled, no-BS method of teaching. I have a nasty reputation for being "hard", when I just think I am trying to prepare them as best as possible. Most complain, but so many have come back to thank me for being tough, because they are being successful at the college level.

Shelia - Come out....Come out......

Thank You

First, I want to thank Longe for contacting me about this blog, Matt and Pauko for convincing me to put up a bio. I will have to edit with pictures later. Having some trouble there.
So here's what has happened to me. The summer between our sophomore and junior yrs, mom moved us to Allentown-of course not with a protest from me, I even tried to convince her to let me move in with Michelle Rozelle for the last two years. Nothing doing. Anyway, ended up at Wm. Allen. Boy, what a change that was! Missed Catty terribly!
1988 got me an ok job in customer service, but I did have a really great boss there, married him in 1992. Bob and I are still together 13 years later, can't say same for job.
Spring of '94 had a beautiful baby girl, Jillian Paige, just about 12 (thinking she is 16)very active in dance and cheerleading, doing spring soccor this year for the first time since Kindergarten. She hates 6th grade, she thinks it is "evil".
May of 1999-my dad passed away of cancer- it was a tough 6 months for us.
July of 2000-had me a bouncing baby boy-Anthony Joseph -and he is still bouncing,he plays T-ball, flag football and wrestles- took third place in his bracket his 1st tournament this year.
Nov. 2001-tragedy struck again, my mom passed away of brain cancer, she fought very hard for 4 months. She had said to me when she was diagnosed"see you thought I never had a brain" for those of you who knew my mom, this was her sense of humor, which she kept until almost the end.
Now 2006, I am working full time as an Inside Sales Rep for an Industrial Pump Company in Allentown, shuttling my kids around and an assistant coach for Wilson Borough Flag Football Cheering Squad. Thats about it.

Strange Obsessions...

Sorry for the false alarm yesterday. Still here!

I realized overnight that I have two obsessions:

(1) preparing my house for this baby, and
(2) this blog.

How do I know this?

I had a dream last night that John Roberts and I were dusting my living room.

He was wearing his black and white chucks.
