  1. Nice hair, Kim. Also, I like the shoe pit on the right. Makes me Jones for some "shoes".

  2. i'm digging the Brian Stetzer look and the South Catty burbs are lovely in the spring, the perfect backdrop.

    where are the dates?

  3. Were Kim & Marry a couple even back then???....a step up from the PJ's ladies!!

  4. Longe - I assumed it was only a matter of time until a prom picture presented itself. You're forcing me to break out the album.

Jeff - Marry? what the heck?

  5. Mare- Were you cranking Hall and Oates in the background? or REO !!!

  6. REO all the way baby!!!!
I was wondering who would notice the "horseshoe pit".
This was our senior year...I'm thinking May 1986.
We are so conservative for this day and age. Have you seen some of the prom dresses as of late!? I feel like such an old lady.

  7. I didn't take that picture on Prom day. It was the day we took the SAT's. Don't you remember getting all dressed up for the test?

  8. Mare,

Sorry - I slipped an extra R in there...more reason to stick to "MARE" moving forward!!

  9. Speaking of SAT's.....LongE- do you remember picking me up and I dropped all my pencils, ID, etc, etc all over the street? Fortunately Mrs. Mondschein was one of the teachers proctoring so she knew I was who I said I was.

  10. yes I remember picking you up for the SAT's. In fact, I have a picture of you coming out of your house that morning, which came in handy a few weeks back when we were trying to figure out your house number on Poplar Street.

  11. what DON'T you have a picture of?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Mr. Long. You had pictures of way too many things back in high school. What was up with that? Do you have a picture of Kim taking out the garbage? How about a picture of Judy coming out of the boys locker room?
Maybe a picture of Mare throwing away her half-eaten apple crisp (which was never really crisp, more like apple sog)?

  13. and despite hanging around him all the time i have no recollection of a camera.

  14. Kim taking out her garbage...yes. Judy coming out of the boys locker room...no. Judy in the girls locker room.......hmmmmmmm

  15. Mare would never have thrown away any food- Jude would have snagged it first.

  16. Kim you are so right on our prom dress choices. You wouldn't catch a girl today wearing that Southern Belle style.

Anyone remember the prom theme from our senior year?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Time in a Bottle.......blech....

    ReplyDelete
  18. Kim - who was your date?

anyone remember why Mislead = PB?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Matt - Kim's date was Bruce.

    Mislead? sounds familiar....hint?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Mislead, Huh? Did I miss something?

    ReplyDelete
  21. just us dorks being overly clever. Pb = prom bait, and Pb = symbol for lead. therefore MisLEAD by Kool and the Gang sort of became our tongue-in-cheek Prom Theme. the lyrics were vaguely applicable.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That was just part of the official "dork" code....

    ReplyDelete
  23. pb - ingenious - better than Time in the Bottle. Is there more given Longe's comments?

    ReplyDelete
  24. too much to list without being eternally embarrased.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Where do you guys get this great memory from? Aren't you all old, like me? I know LongE has pictures to explain everything that happened in his life.....but the level of detail in 'dorkdom' is too much! Prom-bait? I would never have remembered that. What a riot. Way to go!

  26. it just hit me, Kim's dress is straight out of Footloose.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes PB was running rampant that year....I believe that MP = PB as well.

Mullen -you called that one long before I saw it coming!

    ReplyDelete
  28. i was going to bring up the fact that that MP (not MKP) was the benchmark by which all other PB was measured. didn't know you knew that.

    ReplyDelete
  29. JP--Somebody owes somebody $5.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You guys have lost me, but glad to hear it wasn't MKP.

    ReplyDelete
  31. They lost me too Mare, and I am the one who started the whole PB thing. That Kool and the Gang really rocked!

    ReplyDelete
  32. So Matt....are you saying my dress was 'hip' for that time? Or was that a cut? (that is "everybody cut, everybody cut, everybody cut footloose!)
MP, MP, MP??? Not MKP, but whom then?

    ReplyDelete
  33. MP = Martina Petrowski, Perdick took that lure hook, line and sinker.

the footloose comment - it hurts that you need to ask what my intentions were.

    ReplyDelete
  34. ahh MP. Forgot about her.
