Kim

After CHS, I went to Temple......after graduation I moved to South Street and worked in the city. During this time, I met my husband (Chris) at a bar in Philly (shocking, I know). After that I moved to the 'burbs. Got married in October of 1995 up at Elk Mountain. Lew and Mary may remember the torrential rains that came down on my reception tent. In fact, if there is good luck for rain on a wedding day- then I have enough good luck for many lifetimes.

Now we live in Lansdale (just about 2 minutes off the NE extension exit). We have a 5 year old daughter named Meredith who keeps us on our toes. I work 3 days a week at a nearby hospital and also do some teaching at Gwynedd Mercy College. I like to think I have the best of all worlds and feel quite blessed.

Many of you know my parents and I am happy to say that they are both happy and healthy as well and still in Catty.

  1. Hello Kim and Family! It's great to wake up to your smiling faces! Meredith is gorgeous! Kim, what work to you do at the hospital and what do you teach?

  2. Beautiful family Kimmy. Looking forward to seeing you after all these years.
Hospital huh? Kim, are you a brain surgeon?

  3. Meredith is a precious little girl. It was nice to see a recent photo of her!

  4. Kim, great family photo! Your daughter is beautiful. It is so nice to hear that all is going well for you. What I want to know is, what is everyone doing up at 5:30 am!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I vaguely remember that Kim wanted to be a pharmacist. I second Vicki's question - what are you doing?

    ReplyDelete
  6. kim beautiful little girl, that jet black hair, wow! i cant believe all the daughters in our class, and believe it or not, i dont think any of the kids have the same name, hard to believe, although i dont recall seeing vicki's daughters name??

  7. Kim-Great to hear you're doing well. Meredith is a cutie !

  8. Kristen, my daughter's name is Georgia.

  9. Thanks everyone for all your kind words. I do believe my daughter looks like my husband though. Sonya- good memory- I did start out in Pharmacy school but someone said "do you want to count pills all day and on the weekends too?". So obviously- I went a different way. Not quite a brain surgeon LongE....but I am a coding supervisor here. IN other words- when something is wrong with you in the hospital- there are #'s assigned to them. I try to make some money for the hospital by doing audits. I also teach the same thing that I do every day- coding stuff. I have to say, I really love what I do. So if you have any problems with medical bills- let me know.

  11. Lew-
Glad you remember the fun!!!! That's all that mattered to me. Hey- did anyone notice that Freeman has a 'minnie me'? "Sway" from American Idol- it's hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  12. There she is! I love that picture. I don't think there are any bigger Crest smiles in any family. Sorry I'm working so I had to give a p&g plug.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I did watch Idol and saw Sway. You've got a good point there. Freeman- you're cuter!

    ReplyDelete
  14. i thought the same about sway and freeman last night....and lew if anyone should talk about a "minnie me" is you and Nate!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. and I got calls and emails saying I looked like the older guy with grey hair. For those of you who havn't seen me lately, i'm a grey S.O.B.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree that Sway looks like Freeman.

Todd, where's the picture and bio so we can all check you out?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes yes picture and bio. I am still a procrastinator. I will do it tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  18. We'll be waiting...... Do you have a harmonica?

    ReplyDelete
  19. My wife loves Sway and me. I think he looks like Duce Staley - but some people at Eagles tailgating say I reminded them of Duce too.
    Sway is OK

    ReplyDelete
  20. I can see that you look like both! THat's pretty funny. SO were you heartbroken about the Eagles this year? My husband was- big time. DId you go to all the home games? (saw you were a season ticket holder)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was not heartbroken. I was defiled and dejected. I have a TO sucks hat that I wear constantly. I blamed the entire season on him (eveyone needs a scapegoat).
I can't wait until next year - by the end of free agency we should be okay.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Let's hope so, or there will be many broken ankles from people jumping off the superbowl bandwagon from last year. Love the 'TO sucks' hat

    ReplyDelete
  23. oh, every year its the same old hype, the eagle will win the super bowl this year...can we get there 1st please....then the season sucks and its we'll be there next year, i cant stand it anymore

    ReplyDelete
  24. Don't make me break into the fight song. Oh, now you went and did it, you are going to make me type the theme song. I will sing it as I type:
Fly Eagles Fly, on the road to victory (fight, fight, fight), Fight Eagles Fight, score a touchdown, 1, 2, 3. (1,2,3). Hit 'em Low, Hit 'em High, and watch our Eagles fly. Fly, Eagles, Fly, on the road to victory. E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles.

    ReplyDelete
  25. my kids like to sing die eagles die...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kristen & Steve (And anyone else who might be interested)--Check out my bio post again. I'm added a rather long comment - it's somethign I wrote a few days after the Super Bowl. I was going to use it as my "introductory bio" but never got around to actually posting it, then it was too old.

I'm glad I didn't because the one I went with works better as a brief bio. This one gives a little snapshot of my life by recounting what I did on Super Bowl sunday - hopefully y'all will enjoy it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sniff.....Mullen- you made me cry at work with that Superbowl story.
Lew- why does American Idol give you the creeps?
Colin- Sorry I pulled out the chair from you in Mrs Dehaven's class.......I hope you never suffered any permanent damage.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Steve - ????Eagles?????? I forget who they are again?????Oh yeah....they're that Semi-Pro team who thinks they are some great team and should be in the Super bowl just because of their name.....now I remember them.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Kim--A good cry right? Not like, "Oh my god, this writing is so bad, I think I'm going to cry," right?

And I hate to admit it, but my wife and I watch American Idol, not sure when we started one or two seasons ago, but we're hooked now. I like (in no particular order) the guy that looks like Todd Long (Travis?), the young black girl (Paris?), the incredibly naive blonde (Pickler?), the heavier black chick (Marisa? Evita? Crap I don't know), and the bald rocker guy (no clue). I also like the basketball chick.

To be honest, once again, top to bottom, I think the girls are so much better than the guys. The guys show can hardly hold my interest. Most of them are just, well, boring. I may not have as good a voice as those guys, but I think I'd give a better performance than at least half of them.

As for Colin - he's working for the football team at Virginia Tech, so draw your own conclusions...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Todd- I just read the story too, very sweet.

As for American Idol, it's becoming obvious who the final 12 will be. You didn't mention Ace or Bucky. I think Bucky said "learnt" when they interviewed him, but hey he can sing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. HOw appropriate that Bucky's name is Bucky- you check out those teeth?
Can Ace even sing? Frankly, I don't care, not why I like him. Although he did said his favorite 'album' was Faith by George Michaels????- now I am afraid he's playing for the other team!
Yes Todd- a good cry....although to be honest- the writing could be better.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Why can't we have someone from our high school that looks like Ace for cryin out loud.

    ReplyDelete
  33. kimbie - you at you!

hey, remember running into each other at the core states bike race in manayunk somwhere, forever ago?

    ReplyDelete
  34. K--Ouch. Good thing, I don't write for a living. Oh wait...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh my God!!! Good memory Jude! That was a long time ago since "Core States" is no more....
Thanks for jogging that part of my brain.
    Just kidding Mullen!

    ReplyDelete
  36. can you guys believe that not only do i NOT have a cell phone, but i don't have cable either. by choice. i can't even relate to the am. idol. stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  37. um, kim, you said you were goign to call me. t the core states. thanks alot.

May I ask what your dreams are usually about? Are Mary, Julie and I all in mohawks or something?(Or maybe I just don't want to know).
Ace is hot- you'd dig him.

    ReplyDelete
  39. i'll tell you who's hot. eric bana. he was in munich? mmmmmm.

no, my dreams are usally like we're all swimming or something, or in the cafe. remeber my eating contests with rodney heckman?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jude- I did try calling- your phone broke, I think.
Debelak- I do remember. We all had potential we missed out on. Too busy havin' fun.......

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dreamin' of double lunches and raisin crumble? OKay- you're scaring me a little.
you used to always ask Mary if she was going to eat her lunch too.....

    ReplyDelete
  42. All right, now that leads me back to the comment Kim made somewhere when you would always ask, "Are you going to eat that?" at the beginning of every lunch.

Contests with Rod - who won?

    ReplyDelete
  43. YEAH!!!!! We're all on- I'm workin' late tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  44. hey, forgive my retarded sentences. i get so excited and my brain, as always, works faster than my body. just like on my softball team, i'll be hammering around the bases, thinking i'm really fast. and then someone will point out how slow i am. bitter pill to swallow.

this blog cracks me up. i'm laughing out loud. people are wondering why my projects are so funny.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Corn, I'm thinking corn. That was the item you always wanted.
